When SoLVE lost funding for their Step Up Project in Lanark, some of the volunteers who worked there, decided to set up a committee and try to save the project.
Clydesdale Community Volunteer Activities Group was born, we have been running for over two years now and despite the fact that everyone involved is a volunteer, (there is no paid staff whatsoever), we managed to achieve charitable status the following year.
We do not receive any kind of core funding and manage to keep going through having, jumble sales, nearly new sales, race nights, bingo nights, donations from individuals in the community who are proud to be part of CCVAG., and lots of extremely hard work from a very few dedicated people.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us in the past and hopefully will continue to help us in the future, you know who you are!
